The 27th annual Chicago Latino Film Festival highlights the works of Latino American filmmakers defined by more than 20 different nationalities that come from diverse racial and social backgrounds. It is the oldest and most comprehensive Latino film festival in the country, representing over 100 films in an array of genres –fiction, animation, documentary, and shorts that reflect the great diversity of Latino culture from the United States, Latin America, Portugal, and Spain.

The Chicago Underground Film Festival (CUFF) is an annual event showcasing independent, experimental and documentary films from around the world. Founded in 1993, it is a year-round organization dedicated to the work of film and video makers with defiantly independent visions. It was founded to open up the film festival experience to a younger, hipper audience of film-lovers and filmmakers and has grown into one of Chicago’s major film events, a destination of choice for cutting-edge filmmakers and established the festival as an important date in Chicago’s cultural scene.
