The Unscene Chicago is a blog that was created with the goals of promoting up and coming Chicagoans who are aspiring filmmakers, authors, multi-media and fine artists, musicians, and theater artist, all artist by highlighting their talents and exposing them to you.

Co-Founder Tiff Tate

Tiff Tate is one of the co-founders of The UnScene Chicago. She studied Film and Video/Documentary and Screenwriting at Columbia College Chicago. Her interests are documentary and indie filmmaking, along with online video and webisodes. She’s a aspiring novelist, freelance writer and has written reviews for Film Monthly. As a proud geek who is known for her many gadgets and love for tech, you can connect with her over at TheFemGeek.com.

Co-Founder Sawyer LahrSawyer J Lahr is a social networker online and off. He co-founded The UnScene Chicago with Tiffiany while earning his BA in Cinema Studies at Columbia College Chicago. He is Assistant Editor for Filmmonthly.com and has been a freelance writer for six years. Sawyer operates off-the-beaten-path Chicago tours at the The Friendly Greeter and blogs about Thai Language and Travel at Gay in the Land of Smiles . The forthcoming Sherlock Holmes and Philosophy by Open Court Publishing Company hits shelves Fall 2011, featuring Sawyer’s chapter on Holmes’ queer powers of aesthetic sight. His favorite Chicago things are: The Queer Film Society, Mindful Metropolis Magazine, Lecture Series at Gene Siskel Film Center, The Renegade Craft Fair, The Common Cup in Rogers Park, The Center on Halsted.
